    Isn’t the internet a wonderful place? I would never have had access to as many resources and information about birth as I did, if it wasn’t for the web. I also would have never discovered modern cloth diapers and mei tai baby carriers without the internet. The internet is a great place to find like-minded people, and reading online discussion boards is a wonderful way of gaining insights into the minds of people who disagree with you too.   • Virginia Hospital Center baby mix-up

    An article appeared in the Washington Post about a woman who had just given birth at the Virginia Hospital Center, and had her baby taken to the nursery – only to find it missing when she went to get it! Understandably panic-stricken, Suzanne Libby searched for her baby everywhere, and eventually located her newborn child in another mother’s room. Hospital staff admitted to being negligent in matching the baby’s ID band to the mother’s, and described this as the reason for the mix-up. Read the rest of this entry »
